Spirea japonica ‘Magic Carpet’

Spirea japonica ‘Magic Carpet’

The standard by which all spiraea are measured.  This spirea may be the most used of all the varieties because of its small size.  Keeps a great shape with little trimming but a little prune here and there and you can keep it looking perfect.  Nice pink blooms that rebloom with pruning.  This is a tough plant to kill.  Forget to water?  No matter how bad it looks a trim and it seems to pop back. But I still wouldn’t advise abusing this cute little shrub.
