Spiraea japonica “Goldmound”

Spiraea japonica “Goldmound”

Spirea Goldmound is the most popular yellow foliaged spiraea on the market.  The leaves emerge in early spring with a bright yellow color and slowly fade to a greenish yellow as the season progresses.  Goldmound has a bright pink flower that repeats with a trim after the blooms become spent.  If you want to continue the bright yellow new growth you can trim the plant several times per year.  We let it bloom and then trim and repeat again in late summer.
