Spirea japonica Double Play™ Big Bang

Spirea japonica Double Play™ Big Bang

My new favorite spiraea.  The color of orange you see on the pictures above are beautiful colors of the new leaves in spring. As this season progresses the colors fade to a deep yellow.  Then as it started, fall comes and the colors once again go back to the oranges and reds.  But that’s not all.  The flowers on Big Bang are great.  Larger than most spireas, the pink blooms can be 4 to 5″ across.  Trim them and it will bloom again for a few more weeks.  The newest must add spirea for your landscape.
